THE 2018 STEPHEN R. (RUSS) STORY AND JULIE M. STORY EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The 2018 Stephen R. (Russ) Story and Julie M. Story Educational Scholarship Application

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Applicants must be a current High School Senior, in good academic standing, and graduating (May 2018) from a high school in one of the following counties: Atkinson, Bacon, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Irwin, Lanier.
  2. Applicant will be attending, within 6 months of Scholarship notification, an accredited college/university as a full-time student in the State of Georgia.
  3. Applicant must be pursuing an Associate or Bachelor Degree. (No limitations on degree major.)

Award Description:

  1. Scholarship Award, in the amount of $1000.00 will be awarded to one recipient each year.
  2. Scholarship Award monies are paid directly to the applicants' selected college/university.
  3. Scholarship Award monies will be applied to tuition and/or fees.
  4. Proof of enrollment is REQUIRED prior to the release of Scholarship Award monies.
  5. Scholarship Recipient decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.

Application Requirements:

  1. A completed 2018 Scholarship Application
  2. Three (3) letters of recommendation from current or past teachers and/or guidance counselor
  3. A 2-4 page typed essay, APA formatted, describing your educational goals, a plan to achieve those goals, possible barriers to success and strategies to overcome those barriers.

Notification of Scholarship Recipients:

  1. The 2018 Stephen R. (Russ) Story and Julie M. Story Educational Scholarship Recipient will be notified in June 2018 via phone.
  2. In addition, recipients will be recognized on the Story Wealth Management Group website.
